Reviews
This place serves traditional Japanese curry dishes (most notably, pork chop) and does a fantastic job of it! The pork chop was tender and succulent! The pork-batter was crunchy and rich of the aromas of bread, flour, and egg!
The place has a great local Mom & Pop feel. The menu offers a good choices. To top it off, the kitchen is right off the counter to complete the atmosphere.
The best pork cutlet restaurant in sakai
This place is amazing. Everything tastes so good! The portions are very big, too. It's a super casual, local joint and seating is tight. Usually there's a line outside but it's worth the wait.
good
I used this place for lunch when I had work in the area.
Since it's a small restaurant facing the road, there was a small line outside the restaurant after we finished our early meal. However, it is easy to understand why this line forms.
This time I ordered the cheese cutlet, which was a fried tomato wrapped with cheese, meat, and perilla leaves, and was very easy to eat. It may not be enough for people who want a hearty meal, but it's a great dish for people who want a lighter meal, but also have the contradictory desire to eat fried foods. I especially liked the scent of shiso leaves that entered my nose the moment I put the cheese cutlet in my mouth.
The price was also very reasonable, which made me happy. The inside of the store is packed with desks and chairs, but considering the size of the store and the number of customers, I felt this was unavoidable.
There was a line in front of the store, so I went to eat.
There are many types of tonkatsu and I had a hard time deciding which one to go for.
The special platter seems to be popular, so I chose the fillet cutlet and miso cutlet.
The volume was perfect and I was full.
I think the price is reasonable at 1400 yen.
One thing I regret is that the salad is served on the same plate and the water from the dressing gets on the tonkatsu, so I wish it was served on a separate plate.
Special platter 1400 yen
Choose loin and 100g and shrimp cream croquette.
It's definitely delicious!
The best of Mikunigaoka was also delicious, but I personally like this one.
The Mikunigaoka store is stylish and seems to be suitable for families and women, but this one feels more like an old-fashioned Western restaurant.
It's a bit difficult to get there without lining up on the narrow roadway in front of the store.
Also, just like Mikunigaoka, the kitchen here also feels brutal (laughs).
It doesn't affect the customer service at all, but when you eat at the counter, you can feel the frustration in the kitchen (lol)
Well, the taste is delicious, so there is no problem in the end (laughs)
